■ Kazumichi Komatsu
Born in 1992 in Kochi Prefecture, Japan. Lives and works in Kyoto. artist, composer, graphic designer.
Since 2016,he have been enrolled in the doctoral program of Kyoto City Uniiversity of Arts.
Kazumichi began composing music using computers around 2009. He goes by the stage name Madegg, is moving freely between contemporary ambient music, chillwave, house music. He has released a number of albums and EPs from flau, Angoisse, Manila Institute, Rest Now! , BUS editions etc., and published self works online. His presentations are varied from music, video to installation. Starting from primitive sense and image in an empirical manner, Komatsu layers the minute phenomenon and changes which exist inside and outside of cities, natures, media and memories. Circumventing the regulation caused by genre-setting, he has been creating the works as if abstract image becomes to converted into unique sequence.
